YouTuber and broadcaster Kwak Tube (real name Kwak Jun-bin, 32) has hinted at taking legal action regarding school bullying issues.

SM C&C released a rebuttal statement on the 19th against the claims of netizen A. A had posted online questioning the truth of Kwak Tube's school bullying experiences.

The agency stated, "We sincerely apologize for any discomfort caused by issues related to our artist Kwak Tube," but added, "We want to clarify the facts regarding the school bullying claims."

The rebuttal against A's claims consists of three main points: discrepancies in the timeline of Kwak Tube's school bullying, differences in perception of peer group play culture, and whether there was a theft of an expensive Japanese game console.

The agency pointed out, "The time when Kwak Tube and the netizen were classmates was during the first and second years of middle school," and "It is not a matter that can be mentioned regarding the high school (school bullying) experiences Kwak Tube went through."

There were differing interpretations regarding the teasing due to family circumstances. A regarded it as a joke, but Kwak Tube's side said, "It continued persistently since middle school."

The similar bullying continued until high school. "The idea that it was just friends' play culture and not violence can be considered secondary harm in the same context," they emphasized.

The game console theft incident was deemed 'false.' The agency explained, "According to classmates, no one even knew about the (Nintendo) DS at that time, it was that rare."

Additionally, "Above all, no classmates remember Kwak Tube stealing a game console. Kwak Tube himself stated that he had never done such a thing," they added.

Lastly, they mentioned, "Kwak Tube has received much criticism for the videos he has uploaded," and "This is something he needed to apologize for, and he reflects deeply on it."

However, personal attacks against Kwak Tube and criticism targeting his acquaintances have crossed the line. They warned that they will "take strict measures without leniency against the act of spreading malicious rumors."

Meanwhile, Kwak Tube became embroiled in controversy over a video where he defended ex-APRIL member Naeun. He apologized, saying, "I realize that I was ignorant and thoughtless and deeply regret it."
