The movie 'Alien: Romulus' continues its box office streak.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets, 'Alien: Romulus' (directed by Fede Alvarez) drew 63,378 viewers on the 28th, reaching the top of the box office.
The cumulative number of viewers is 1,379,893, surpassing the final score of its predecessor, 'Alien: Covenant' (1.3 million viewers). It has maintained the top position in the box office for 13 consecutive days since its release.
'Alien: Romulus' is a survival thriller film. It follows young people who leave their colony in search of a better life, but upon arriving at the space base 'Romulus,' they are pursued by relentless alien attacks and engage in a fierce battle for survival.
Second place goes to Lim Young-woong. His concert documentary film 'I'm Hero the Stadium' pushed aside newly released films to start at second place, attracting 49,725 viewers.
In terms of reservation rates, Lim Young-woong wins. As of 11 AM on the 29th, his film leads with a real-time reservation rate of 25.9%. 'Veteran 2' follows at 13.7%, and 'Alien: Romulus' takes third place with 7.3%.
