‘Aladdin’ November Korean Premiere…Kim Jun-su, Jeong Seong-hwa, Lee Sung-kyoung, Magical Combination

The hit Broadway musical 'Aladdin' will premiere in Korea, showcasing a formidable lineup.

Production company 'S&CO' announced the main cast on the 6th. Kim Jun-su, Seo Kyung-su, and Park Kang-hyun have been cast as Aladdin.

In particular, Kim Jun-su is expected to set new standards as the first Aladdin. He will showcase his energetic charm by dancing freely on stage.

Jung Sung-hwa, Jung Won-young, and Kang Hong-seok will play the role of Genie. Lee Sung-kyung, Min Kyung-ah, and Choi Ji-hye have been cast as Jasmine.

Jung Sung-hwa is approaching his 20th anniversary in musical debut. He plans to demonstrate his versatility in both voice and acting on stage, portraying a delightful Genie.

Lee Sung-kyung will make her musical debut with 'Aladdin'. She has captivated creators with her pure voice that conveys emotions perfectly.

The performances of the talented supporting cast are also highly anticipated. Lee Sang-jun and Hwang Man-ik will play the Sultan, Yoon Sun-yong and Im Byeol will play Jafar, Jung Yeol will play Iago, Seo Man-seok will play Kasim, Yuk Hyun-wook will play Omar, and Bang Bo-yong and Yang Byung-cheol will play Babcock.

'Aladdin' narrates the adventures of Aladdin who comes into possession of a magical lamp that grants wishes. It has been performed across four continents in 11 productions worldwide, with approximately 20 million viewers to date.

The original creators recently visited Korea and conducted auditions over ten sessions. Actors had to pass various stages, including tap dance and paired acting.

Director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw said, "We are very proud to reveal the Korean cast," adding, "The outstanding actors we have found will bring joy and vibrancy to 'Aladdin'."

The Korean premiere will open on November 22 at the Charlotte Theater in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The first tickets are expected to be available early next month.
