Ahn Cheol-soo, the candidate for the leadership of the People Power Party, issues a strong warning to Jeong Cheong-rae, the leader of the Democratic Party.
Ahn Cheol-soo has taken a firm stance regarding remarks made by Jeong Cheong-rae, the leader of the Democratic Party.
On the 3rd, Ahn warned through his social media that Jeong had declared war on the main opposition party, stating that he would make Jeong pay an appropriate price for his comments.

Ahn criticized Jeong's remarks, stating, "The Democratic Party leader's first words were reckless, saying he 'would not join hands with the opposition' and referring to 'the possibility of ruling on the dissolution of the unconstitutional People's Power Party,'" and firmly told him to "shut his mouth." He pointed out that such statements herald a more blatant legislative dictatorship and legislative runaway, emphasizing that true democrats would not make such remarks. "Shut your mouth."
Intensifying Blame Game Between the Two Parties
Candidate Ahn stated that the People Power Party has continuously apologized regarding martial law-related issues and that he is taking the lead in expressing apologies to the public.
In contrast, the Democratic Party rebutted that they have never apologized even once for what the Constitutional Court pointed out during the impeachment trial regarding "Lee Jae-myung's legislative outrage, paralysis of government, and a protective National Assembly."
In particular, Ahn expressed his resolve to directly challenge Jeong Cheong-rae, saying, "You keep talking about our party's dissolution; shut your mouth. Now that coordinates have been marked, Jeong Cheong-rae should prepare himself." This statement is interpreted as indicative of the possibility of further escalation in political confrontation between the ruling and opposition parties.

Meanwhile, Jeong Cheong-rae was overwhelmingly elected as the leader of the Democratic Party on the 2nd, garnering 61.74% of the votes against Park Chan-dae, who received 38.26%.
In his acceptance speech, he stated, "We will rigorously punish those who commit treason to restore national righteousness," aiming directly at the People Power Party, saying, "The party will devote all efforts to eradicate treason."
Furthermore, Jeong mentioned during a press conference, "If it is revealed through a special prosecution that there are not only suspects of treason such as Yoon Seok-yeol but also sympathizers, accomplices, and collaborators within the People Power Party, the public demand for the dissolution of the unconstitutional party will naturally rise," referring to the possibility of a ruling on party dissolution. He also made it clear that regarding relationships with the opposition, "We are currently in a state of insurrection and war; I do not think in terms of ruling and opposition parties," indicating that there are no plans to treat the People Power Party as an opposition party or partner for collaboration for the time being.
As a result of the hardline statements from the leadership of both parties, the political confrontation structure is expected to deepen.
Attention is focused on how the conflict between the People Power Party and the Democratic Party will unfold.
