Former President Moon Jae-in Congratulates Candidate Lee Jae-myung on His Selection

Former President Moon Jae-in sent a congratulatory message to Candidate Lee Jae-myung, who has been selected as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate.

On the 28th, Former President Moon stated through his Facebook, "I send a big round of applause and congratulations to Candidate Lee Jae-myung, who has been selected as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate."

He also added, "I want to express my condolences and encouragement to Candidates Kim Dong-yeon and Kim Kyung-soo, who have participated together in this beautiful competition."

Candidate Lee Jae-myung was confirmed as the presidential candidate after recording a vote share of 89.77% in the Democratic Party's primaries held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.

Former President Moon emphasized, "Now the Democratic Party is one team," and expressed his hope that all forces wishing for democracy, people's livelihood, and peace would unite around this candidate to achieve an overwhelming change of government.

He further stated, "I sincerely hope that the time of regression has ended, and that the Republic of Korea will rise again, leading to the happiness of the people, alongside the citizens."
