A man in his 60s has been sentenced to prison for making unreasonable demands and committing acts of violence at an administrative welfare center.
On the 26th, the Chuncheon District Court's Criminal Division 2, led by Judge Kim Seong-rae, revealed that it sentenced A (67) to two years in prison for charges including retaliatory assault, injury, obstruction of official duties, assault, and false accusation under the Specific Crimes Aggravated Punishment Act.
In May, while visiting an administrative welfare center in Chuncheon, A demanded "the fuel costs needed to go to Hwacheon." After his request was denied, he verbally abused and spat at B, a welfare officer, claiming that B was "more picky than a prosecutor."

What is even more shocking is that three days after the incident, A threatened B, who was on the phone at the entrance of the welfare center, by blowing cigarette smoke and shouting, "Will you take responsibility if there’s a fine?"
A's violent behavior did not end there. He assaulted an instructor outside the police station over a dance sports academy refund issue and later falsely accused the instructor of assaulting him. Additionally, he committed several acts of violence, including attempting to smoke in a taxi and assaulting the driver when he was stopped.
Numerous acts of violence
The court pointed out that "the nature of the crime is very poor, considering the circumstances, method, and frequency of the offenses. Despite having a history of being punished for violent crimes, the defendant committed further offenses during the probation period."
The court also explained the reasons for sentencing, stating, "It appears that the victims suffered significant physical and mental pain, and the defendant made no efforts to recover from the harm or receive forgiveness from the victims."
