7 Hours After Being Adopted, Abandoned Dog 'Kuno' Returns Shorn
A sad incident occurred in Gangwon-do, where a dog that was adopted from an animal shelter returned just 7 hours later, shorn of its fur.
On the 20th, the Gangneung Animal Love Center released photos of the dog 'Kuno,' showing its appearance before and after adoption on their official social media.
Before adoption, Kuno showcased its charm with a thick and white coat, but returned after abandonment with its fur sparsely trimmed all over its body, except for its face.
According to the center, Kuno was adopted around 1:30 PM on the 19th. However, the adopter communicated their intention to abandon the dog just 7 hours later, citing, "the existing pet wouldn't get along with it."
The Gangneung Animal Love Center expressed their sadness, saying, “Only the mess from self-grooming remains," adding, "It's disheartening enough that Kuno was returned. We are at a loss as to how we can showcase this friend’s charm again.”
The center also mentioned their concerns, saying, “The fur is a complete mess, and we worry about whether the child’s heart might have been hurt. Fortunately, Kuno is still cheerful. That makes us even more heartbroken and deeply sorry for Kuno.”
Currently, Kuno is waiting for a new family.
A representative from the center stated, “When Kuno returned, rather than being gloomy, it was rubbing against us and playing. Kuno still loves people,” adding, “I hope that Kuno finds its true family while its heart remains unbroken. Its fur may be damaged now, but it will grow back.”
