Drowning Incident in Gangneung Beach, Gangwon Province

A tragic incident occurred when a woman in her 30s lost her life in a drowning accident at Hapyeong Beach in Sacheon-myeon, Gangneung, Gangwon Province.

According to information from the Gangwon Fire Department and the Gangneung Coast Guard, at around 1:58 AM on the 28th, an individual known as A (31) fell into the sea.

Rescue teams quickly dispatched to the scene managed to locate A at around 3:02 AM.

At the time of discovery, A was already in cardiac arrest; unfortunately, despite emergency measures, she ultimately passed away.

Investigation into the Cause of the Incident

Regarding this incident, the police briefly stated, "We are investigating the circumstances of the accident."

The exact cause and circumstances surrounding the drowning accident, which occurred late at night on the beach, have yet to be clearly clarified.
