Shocking Scene of Restaurant Owner Smoking While Packing Food in Daejeon
A shocking scene of a restaurant owner smoking in the kitchen while packing food has been captured, leading to controversy.
The video, filmed on the 26th of last month at a pork cutlet restaurant in Daejeon, was revealed through JTBC's 'Incident Report.' The person who reported the video, Mr. A, noted that he witnessed the owner preparing food while smoking in the kitchen during his visit to the restaurant for delivery.

The owner was caught on camera packing food into containers with a cigarette between their fingers, and even throwing cigarette butts into the sink where dishes are washed.
Mr. A stated, "At first, I recorded the video to show my friends, but after watching it again, I felt it was serious and decided to report it."
Legal expert attorney Yang Ji-yeol explained, "Such actions not only lack ethical considerations but are also legally problematic. According to the Food Sanitation Act, smoking in the kitchen incurs a fine of 500,000 won upon the first detection."
He strongly recommended that such behavior be refrained from.

Internet users showed various reactions to this incident, with comments such as, "The solution for such a store is to close down," "The hygiene conditions of delivery-only restaurants are too dirty," and "There are really severe places."
Incidents like this remind us once again of issues related to food safety, emphasizing the need for consumers to be more cautious when selecting restaurants.
Currently, Mr. A has not reported the restaurant for violations of the Food Sanitation Act. However, this incident has heightened awareness among many people, and there are increasing calls for thorough investigations by the relevant authorities.
