A current police officer is under investigation for assaulting his girlfriend and a citizen who tried to intervene.

A police officer in his 20s, affiliated with the Jeonbuk Police Agency, is being investigated by the police for assaulting his girlfriend and a citizen who was trying to stop the incident.

According to the Jeonbuk Police Agency on the 19th, the incident occurred around 3 AM on the 16th in a street in Dangjin, Chungnam, when Officer A assaulted his girlfriend with his fists.

It has even been revealed that Officer A also assaulted the citizen who witnessed the scene and attempted to intervene.

Currently, this case is under investigation by the Dangjin Police Station.

Fortunately, it has been confirmed that both Officer A's girlfriend and the assaulted citizen did not suffer serious injuries.

The Jeonbuk Police Agency stated that they plan to commence an internal investigation into the officer as soon as they receive a notification from the Dangjin Police Station to initiate an investigation.
