A woman, under the name 'DO', left a review on Google claiming that she discovered a dead rat in the side salad while eating her katsu-don set. The rat was said to have been hiding at the bottom of the salad.

She stated, "I had already eaten half of the salad. It was extremely disgusting and unacceptable," adding, "Everyone at the scene got up from their seats and left the restaurant."

Criticism Continues Despite Restaurant's Apology

A friend dining with her also left a one-star review under the name 'JH'. She wrote, "Considering what happened today, I don’t even want to give one star," and mentioned, "I was having a lunch set with my pregnant friend, and there was a disgusting rat in her small salad."

The two women further criticized the restaurant, claiming that the management continued to serve food to other customers despite knowing about the incident.

Daniel Kim, identified as DO's husband, expressed his anger through a Google review, stating, "A rat came out of my wife's salad. It's really disgusting."

As the controversy grew, Tatsuya West Ryde issued an official apology. The restaurant stated, "We sincerely apologize for this incident," explaining that "the salad box in question was supplied by an external vendor, and we are currently investigating with the supplier and local food authorities."

They added, "We are taking all necessary measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring," and concluded with, "Thank you for your understanding."
