A man in his 40s who went to the home of a sex worker under the guise of being a client and livestreamed it on YouTube has ultimately been arrested and indicted.
According to an SBS report on the 7th, the man, referred to as A, pretended to be a buyer, approached women, and filmed himself livestreaming directly to his YouTube channel.
During the broadcast, A filmed various corners of the officetel and displayed mocking behavior towards a woman who was covered with a blanket.
A said, "It’s a hidden picture game. Where could the person be? I’ll send a whole chicken to whoever guesses it right," and made threatening remarks such as, "Hey, come out. If you don’t come out, I’ll film you."

Additionally, A displayed his bank account number on the right side of the broadcast screen to receive donations.
He traveled nationwide committing dozens of similar acts, while claiming to advocate for 'the eradication of prostitution' and expressing his grievances.
The video also captured A conversing with police who arrived on the scene. A introduced himself to the officers as a YouTuber working on content aimed at eradicating prostitution.
A committed these acts on multiple occasions in December and January and was arrested by the police last month.
According to police investigations, A was confirmed to have carried out dozens of similar crimes across the country, including in Gangnam, Suwon, and Cheongju.

It has also been revealed that A organized a group called 'Yeocheongdan', through which he threatened and extorted money from owners of sex trade establishments.
During the police investigation, A claimed that his actions were intended to eradicate prostitution and create a better society, expressing feelings of injustice regarding his arrest.
However, experts warned that such behavior is a clear violation of the law, and that viewers could also face punishment for encouraging criminal acts through donations.
On the 18th of last month, the Cheongju District Prosecutor's Office indicted A, who is facing charges of defamation, unlawful entry, and confinement, while he remains in custody.
