Parking Conflict Leads to Fire Incident
A man in his 60s, found unconscious at the scene of a vehicle fire, has been identified as the arsonist.
He reportedly set fire to a neighbor's vehicle during a parking dispute and attempted to take his own life.

On the 2nd, the Pyeongtaek police announced the emergency arrest of Mr. A, a man in his 60s, on charges of arson (general vehicle arson) for setting fire to a neighbor's vehicle the previous day (the 1st).
Mr. A is accused of igniting a fire in an SUV belonging to neighbor Mr. B, parked in front of a three-story multi-family building in Pyeongtaek at around 9:50 PM on the 1st.
The fire spread from the vehicle to the exterior walls of the building, nearly leading to a major disaster.
As a result, seven residents living in the building were forced to evacuate.
Fortunately, there were no confirmed injuries.

Arsonist Found Unconscious
Even more shocking is Mr. A's behavior after the arson. According to police, he was found unconscious in the basement office of the same building after setting the fire.
He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is currently in a state of recovery.

The police investigation revealed that this incident was not a simple impulsive act but rather the result of ongoing conflict.
It has been confirmed that Mr. A had serious disputes with Mr. B, the driver of the damaged vehicle, over parking issues.
The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for Mr. A as soon as the investigation is completed.
