60-Year-Old Man Arrested for Driving Stolen Vehicle Over 35km While Intoxicated
A 60-year-old man was arrested by the police after stealing another person’s vehicle and driving a long distance while intoxicated.
According to a report by MBN on the 11th, the man, referred to as Mr. A, was found to have driven approximately 35 kilometers from Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, to Songpa District in Seoul while under the influence of alcohol at a level that would result in the revocation of his driver's license.

On the 9th at approximately 2:25 AM, the police received a report of a stolen vehicle and quickly responded, tracing the location of the victim's car.
Upon discovering the vehicle, officers conducted a search of the surrounding buildings and successfully apprehended Mr. A about five minutes later in an alley. He was reportedly hiding in a massage parlor when he was arrested.

What is even more shocking is that Mr. A drove a long distance while intoxicated after stealing the vehicle.
According to the police investigation, Mr. A's blood alcohol concentration was found to be at a level that would warrant license revocation at the time of his arrest.
Driving 35 kilometers while intoxicated poses a serious risk not only to himself but also to other drivers and pedestrians.

During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated that he "accidentally got into the wrong car while drunk."
The Songpa Police Station in Seoul has charged Mr. A with theft and violations of the Road Traffic Act, and is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the precise circumstances of the incident and any additional offenses.
Vehicle theft and long-distance driving while under the influence can lead to serious social hazards, and severe penalties are expected under relevant laws.
