Car Accident in Sanggadong, Dongjak District

A car driven by a designated driver crashed into the outer wall of a house in a residential alley in Sanggadong, Dongjak District, Seoul, resulting in the death of the vehicle owner.

According to police and fire authorities, the accident occurred at approximately 11:34 PM on the 16th in a narrow alley in Sanggadong, Dongjak District, Seoul.

The vehicle driven by a designated driver in his 60s suddenly lost control, colliding with the outer wall of the house and a utility pole in quick succession.

As a result of the accident, the vehicle owner in his 50s, who was seated in the passenger seat, was ejected from the car. He was transported to the hospital in cardiac arrest but ultimately passed away.

The designated driver sustained only minor injuries.

The police stated in their initial investigation that there were no signs of alcohol or drug use in the driver.

The police are currently treating the incident as an accident caused by driver negligence and are investigating the precise circumstances.
