Local Council Member Found Dead in Vehicle in Gapyeong

A tragic incident has occurred in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, where a current local council member was found dead inside a vehicle.

According to police authorities, at around 10:30 AM on the 29th, a 50-year-old male council member, referred to as A, was discovered deceased in a vehicle in Gapyeong-eup, Gapyeong County.

The police, responding to a family report, confirmed the body of A inside the vehicle.

Initial investigations by the police have revealed no evidence suggesting foul play or criminal activity related to the case. The police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the precise cause of death and the circumstances surrounding it.

Meanwhile, the Gapyeong County Council is set to hold an emergency meeting in the afternoon to discuss follow-up measures and condolences regarding A's death.
