A baseball stadium with 24,000 spectators… What 12 staff members do after the game ends (video)

Players throw the ball, and the audience throws trash… 12 workers cleaning up the messy stadium

There may be people who have not been to a baseball stadium, but there are none who have only been there once. Recent estimates suggest that the number of spectators for the increasingly popular professional baseball could exceed 12 million.

Among the excitement, the sights, the sounds, and the variety of food that delights the palate at the baseball stadium, there are 12 workers who stay up all night cleaning.

According to JTBC on the 25th, after a professional baseball game, various trash left behind by spectators could be seen scattered around the Jamsil Baseball Stadium.

From beer cans to soft drink bottles, leftover hot dogs, and even spilled tteokbokki on the floor were captured.

While there are dedicated recycling stations inside the stadium, the spectators carelessly throw their trash into plastic bags and leave without a second thought.

There were even cases where paper boxes that contained food waste were found discarded in the food waste bins.

Cleaning up the mountains of trash created in an instant and the rubbish left in various seats became the responsibility of the 12 cleaning workers.

As soon as the spectators exited, they began to hurry around the stadium with bags filled with water and trash bags.

But it doesn't end there. After spending two hours cleaning the infield seats, they faced the mountain of trash piled up by the spectators.

With trash and food waste mixed together, even separating them was difficult. The floor was soaked, especially due to disposable cups that had been thrown away while still containing drinks.

On that day, it took a full 8 hours to completely clean up the traces left behind by approximately 24,000 spectators.

This mountain of trash created by the thought of "It’s just one person; what difference does it make?" lets us hope that along with the "victory fairy," we also see a "recycling fairy" at the next stadium.
