Mr. A is accused of killing his parents in their 60s and 70s, as well as his brother in his 30s, with a weapon at his home in Ha-seong-myeon, Gimpo, around 11 AM on July 10. On the day of the incident, after his mother cried out of worry, he became upset thinking, "Why are you bothering me when I'm trying to rest," and hit her on the head, which resulted in him injuring his own hand.

Having lost his income while working as a freelance web programmer, he had been living with his family since June. After injuring his hand, he was taken to the hospital's emergency room with his brother. However, during the treatment process, his brother said, "If you do that again, I'll kill you," which infuriated Mr. A, leading to a heated argument. After returning home, he searched for terms such as 'mental illness' and 'murder' on his mobile phone and read related articles.
