DAY6 has swept the domestic music charts.
DAY6 reached No. 1 on major music sites for the first time in their 9-year career. As of 9 PM on the 2nd, the title track "Melt" topped Melon's Top 100, Genie, and Bugs' real-time charts.
Notably, on Bugs, all tracks from their 9th mini-album "Band Aid" occupied positions 1 to 8. The tracks also secured spots within the Top 100 on Melon and Genie charts.
It's a remarkable achievement after 9 years since their debut. On the day of release, they shot to the top of the music charts. Alongside their steady climb, older songs like "You Were Beautiful" (10th), "Happy" (14th), and "I Smile" (19th) are also rising in the rankings.
The new album combines "Band," referring to a rock group, and "Aid," implying help. It includes a total of 8 tracks. The members took an active part in writing and composing all the songs.
Along with the title track "Melt," songs like "Monster," "She Laughed," "Lost Game," "Help Me Rock and Roll," "I'm Fine," and "Still Alive" were showcased.
This album is a work of solace. Wonpil shared, "This album came out after much contemplation. We took on many challenges, but the message we deliver remains unchanged. We hope to instill the strength to continue living together."
Meanwhile, DAY6 will hold a solo concert, "Forever Young," from the 20th to the 22nd at Inspire Arena in Jung-gu, Incheon. This will kick off their 3rd world tour, where they will meet fans in 26 locations worldwide.
