Disney+ series 'Knockoff' has completed its lineup of trusted actors. Following the casting of main characters Kim Soo-hyun and Jo Bo-ah, a roster of powerhouse actors has also been announced.
'Knockoff' tells the story of a man whose life is entirely changed by the IMF crisis. The plot follows his transformation from an ordinary office worker to the king of the global counterfeit market.
Kim Soo-hyun plays Kim Seong-jun, the king of the counterfeit world. Jo Bo-ah stars as Song Hye-jung, a special judicial officer in charge of cracking down on counterfeit products.
Additional actors who bring reliability just by their names have joined the cast. Yoo Jae-myung appears as Kim Soo-hyun's father, Kim Man-sik, who initially introduces Kim Seong-jun to the world of counterfeit goods.
New actress Bang Hyo-rin plays Bae Noo-ri, the president of Saemmul Market. Her character is sometimes naive but also possesses a ruthless side.
Kim Eui-sung has also joined the cast. He takes on the role of Bae Pil-goo, Bae Noo-ri's uncle, who dominates the Busan counterfeit market.
Lee Jung-eun makes a special appearance as well. She plays Park Ae-ja, Kim Seong-jun's mother, a retired civil servant who has dedicated her entire life to her family.
Kim Mu-yeol also makes a special appearance. He plays Baek Jong-min, the head of the task force team cracking down on counterfeit goods and a prosecutor at the central district court. He plans to track down Bae Noo-ri and Kim Seong-jun, who have dominated the counterfeit market.
Jung Man-sik joins Kim Mu-yeol in the crackdown on counterfeit goods. He plays Detective Lee Gi-bong. Kang Mal-geum takes on the role of Jae-gal Hyun-sook, an investigator in the task force team.
Kwon Na-ra challenges the role of Moon Yoo-bin, a designer of S-grade counterfeit bags. Park Se-wan has been cast as Moon Da-bin, Moon Yoo-bin's younger sister.
Kim Hye-eun is responsible for the character Jang Ji-soo, Bae Noo-ri's lawyer and strategist. Go Kyu-pil portrays Donkatsu, Bae Noo-ri's right-hand man and the enforcer at Saemmul Market.
'Knockoff' is an original series by Disney+. Directed by Park Hyun-seok of 'Stranger 2,' and written by Han Jung-hoon of the 'Bad Guys' series. It is set to be released worldwide next year.
