Actors Im Si-wan and Park Gyu-young meet in an action film. They've been cast in 'Sama-kwii.'
On the 2nd, Netflix announced the production of 'Sama-kwii' and revealed the major casting lineup, stating, "Im Si-wan, Park Gyu-young, and Jo Woo-jin have been confirmed to appear."
'Sama-kwii' is a spin-off of 'Kill Boksoon.' It is set in the contract killing industry, featuring a story about an A-Grade killer, his rival, and a retired killer.
Im Si-wan will play the role of the A-Grade killer Sama-kwii, an employee of the contract killing company MK Entertainment. He is the person mentioned as "on vacation" by Cha Min-kyoo (played by Seol Kyung-goo) in 'Kill Boksoon.'
He seeks new opportunities with his colleagues. After returning from vacation, he decides to leave MK Entertainment, which has lost its leader. He is expected to deliver a compelling performance.
Park Gyu-young will play Jae-yi, Sama-kwii's long-time friend and rival. Despite her exceptional skills, she fell out of favor with her superiors and was eventually expelled from MK Entertainment.
Jo Woo-jin will play Dok-go, a legendary killer. He is a founding member of MK Entertainment and Sama-kwii's mentor. He tries to take the representative position and re-recruit Sama-kwii after Cha Min-kyoo's death.
This is director Lee Tae-sung's first feature film. He has experience as an assistant director on 'Kill Boksoon' and 'The King.' Byun Sung-hyun, the director of 'Kill Boksoon,' participated in the script.
An official said, "Im Si-wan, Park Gyu-young, and Jo Woo-jin meet in 'Sama-kwii,'" and added, "Please look forward to the acting ensemble they will create within this intriguing world."
