Actor Park Sang-min (54) has been put on trial for drunk driving. This is already his third time being caught for drunk driving.
The Anyang Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office indicted Park Sang-min without detention at the end of last month. He is charged with violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
Park Sang-min is accused of driving under the influence on a road in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, around 8 a.m. on May 19.
Before going home, he fell asleep in an alley. He was caught by the police who responded to a report. His blood alcohol concentration at the time was at a level that warrants license cancellation.
It is known that Park Sang-min had been drinking with acquaintances, including whiskey, at a bar in Gwacheon until early that morning.
This is his third record of drunk driving. In August 1997, he caused a collision while driving under the influence in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
In February 2011, he was caught by police while driving a junior's car in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, with a blood alcohol level that warranted a license suspension.
Park Sang-min debuted in the 1990 film "The General's Son." He quickly rose to stardom. He has since continued his acting career, appearing in various movies and dramas.
