Actor Kim Moo-yeol returns with a historical drama.
Kim Moo-yeol will appear in the TVING original series "Queen Woo," the first part of which will be released on the 29th. He will showcase a wide range of skills, from depicting the psychological changes of loyal subjects and politicians to martial arts performances.
"Queen Woo" is a historical action chase drama. Queen Woo becomes the target of princes aiming for the throne and five tribes seeking power following the king's death. The story revolves around her attempts to establish a new king within 24 hours.
Kim Moo-yeol takes on the role of Eulpaso in the drama. He is the head of the Goguryeo Gaeryeonghoe and holds the highest official position, Guksang. Eulpaso is a charismatic character equipped with both strategy and tact.
He supports Queen Woo-hee (played by Jeon Jong-seo) and acts as her biggest ally. He also flawlessly leads the country's affairs while King Go Nam-mu (played by Ji Chang-wook) is away at war.
Anticipation is high for Kim Moo-yeol's performance in this historical drama, marking his return to the genre after seven years. An insider noted, "He will heighten the tension by navigating between being an unknowable politician and a loyal subject genuinely concerned for the country."
The spectacular action sequences are also something to look forward to. The insider added, "He will portray a character skilled in both literature and martial arts, delivering captivating action scenes in the urgent situation that unfolds within 24 hours."
Previously, Kim Moo-yeol played the role of an opportunistic lawyer "Lee Sang-bong" in Disney+ "No Way Out: The Roulette". He also took on the role of a villain in the film "The Outlaws 4".
