“Slowly, I’m trying to prepare again.” (Jisoo Kim)
Actor Jisoo Kim released ‘Jisoo Road 2 Movie Vlog EP.01: The End of Tunnel’ on YouTube on the 23rd.
He shared his recent updates after a long time. He mentioned his feelings about standing in front of the public after nearly four years, military service, school violence issues, and future activities. A candid interview was added to the emotional video.
Jisoo Kim was on a train heading somewhere. He started by saying, “I went on a solo trip to Geomundo Island four years ago. Now I’ve finally come back. A lot has happened, and I also served in the military.”
First, he clarified the school violence allegations. He announced that he had resolved misunderstandings with the accuser. “I managed to clear up misunderstandings with the friends who talked about the bad issues related to me,” he explained.
He clarified the allegations.
He compared the past time to a dark tunnel. “The world moves fast, but I felt like I was standing still, reflected in the window. I felt anxious and nervous,” he confessed.
He continued, “At that time, someone told me that a tunnel is the quickest way to a destination,” and added, “Life goes on. Unless you become a wanderer, you have to return to everyday life.”
Jisoo Kim arrived at the final station (Seoul). He took a deep breath as if trying to calm his nerves. He gazed at the distant Han River and the Seoul landscape for a while. He then took a taxi straight to Hyehwa Station.
He took a deep breath as if trying to calm his nerves.
He reminisced about his past in Daehangno. “I followed my acting teacher to live in a theater troupe. When I was a senior in high school, there was a time when I auditioned and practiced in Daehangno,” he recalled.
Jisoo Kim looked back, saying, “It’s already been 12-13 years. I joined the theater troupe as a member and practiced. Although I couldn’t perform on stage, I learned a lot from my senior actors.”
He dreamed new dreams again. “I want to try acting on stage. I’d love to be on a theater stage or a musical stage. Eventually, I also want to create a short film,” he shared his solid goals.
He added, “During my public service, I studied English a lot,” and expressed his wish, “If given the chance, I want to challenge myself with an English-speaking project and act in English.”
He seemed to genuinely enjoy filming the vlog (YouTube) itself. He even took a friendly photo with a fan he met on the street. Jisoo Kim conveyed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you. Have a happy new year.”
He previewed the next episode. “The start is always scary, but it always excites me,” he emphasized. A caption explained that it is “a documentary video capturing Jisoo’s growth process.”
Global fans expressed their delight. They supported his new goals through comments like, “We’ve been waiting for so long,” “Jisoo deserves love,” and “We always support you.”
Jisoo Kim was embroiled in school violence allegations in 2021. He stepped down from his then-ongoing project (River Where the Moon Rises). Last October, he stated he had resolved misunderstandings with the accuser.
He shared his frustration, saying, “The drama was airing. I had to apologize quickly and step down,” and added, “I had already been summoned, so I couldn’t properly clarify before enlisting.”
