Actress Shin Hye-sun will challenge herself with a dual role.
On the 22nd, Genie TV released the first teaser video for the new original series "To My Harry" (written by Han Garam, directed by Jung Ji-hyun and Heo Seok-won). It captures the happiness of the main characters, Joo Eun-ho (played by Shin Hye-sun) and Joo Hye-ri (played by Shin Hye-sun).
"To My Harry" is a romance about rekindling happiness. It tells the story of an announcer, Eun-ho, who develops a new personality, and her ex-boyfriend, Hyun-oh (played by Lee Jin-wook), as they heal the hidden wounds in their hearts.
Directed by PD Jung Ji-hyun, known for hit dramas like "House with a Yard," "Twenty-Five Twenty-One," "You Are My Spring," and "Search: WWW." Writer Han Garam, who worked on "I'll Go to You When the Weather Is Nice," joins forces in this project.
First, the daily life of Joo Eun-ho is depicted. She is a 14-year veteran announcer without presence. Her weary and dried-out expressions highlight her exhaustion with reality. She even mutters to herself, "Burning out, every day," as if tortured by daily life.
On the other hand, Joo Hye-ri's days are filled with continuous happiness. As a parking lot attendant, she suddenly stands up during work and chants like a mantra, "I am happy. I am happy." Her quirky and lively nature is evident.
Both characters are actually the same person. The teaser ends with Joo Hye-ri questioning someone, "Are you saying I am the same person as her?" revealing that she and Joo Eun-ho are the same individual.
An insider said, "Joo Eun-ho, who wants to be happy despite her burning daily life, and Joo Hye-ri, who is happy every day, show starkly contrasting traits. Please watch to see how these two extremes are connected."
Shin Hye-sun's performance in the dual role is highly anticipated. The production team hinted, "Shin Hye-sun brilliantly portrayed the two characters with opposite traits. She maintained a cheerful atmosphere on set while acting as Joo Hye-ri."
"To My Harry" will premiere on Genie TV, Genie TV Mobile, and ENA on Monday, the 23rd of next month, at 10 PM.
