Actor Kim Dong-wook becomes a detective in the violent crimes unit.
On the 20th, Walt Disney Company Korea revealed the teaser poster and teaser trailer for the new Disney+ original series 'Kangmaegang' (directed by An Jong-yeon and Shin Jung-hoon).
‘Kangmaegang’ is a comedy crime investigation drama. The story follows a top elite head of the violent crimes unit who joins the worst-performing team in the country and how they transform into the best one-team.
The poster sparked curiosity. It features Dong Bang-yubin (played by Kim Dong-wook), Moo Joong-ryuk (Park Ji-hwan), Jung Jung-hwan (Seo Hyun-woo), Seo Min-seo (Park Se-wan), and Jang Tan-sik (Lee Seung-woo).
The poster hinted at a fantastic teamwork. The detectives of the violent crimes unit are striking a heroic pose, reminiscent of a global defense force, with solemn expressions, raising expectations for the cases they will tackle.
The trailer was also unveiled. Detectives were gathered in front of a closed daycare center, using it as a temporary office instead of the police station, stimulating interest.
The arrival of a new head to the ragtag violent crimes unit also piqued curiosity. The trailer implied his potential with the line, "He doesn't look very tough at first glance, but there's something charming about him."
The production team stated, "Expect a display of character from a sitcom master and highly skilled actors. The thrilling deductions and twists unique to crime dramas are also something to look forward to."
Meanwhile, 'Kangmaegang' will be available from the 11th of next month. All four episodes can be watched simultaneously starting that day.
