Actors Ju Ji-hoon and Jung Yu-mi are set to showcase their chemistry in a romance drama. tvN's new drama “Love on a Single Log Bridge” (written by Lim Ye-jin, directed by Park Joon-hwa) confirmed its lineup on the 19th. Ju Ji-hoon and Jung Yu-mi will deliver a tension-filled romance.
Director Park Joon-hwa, known for “Alchemy of Souls” and “What's Wrong with Secretary Kim,” is leading the production. Writer Lim Ye-jin, who co-wrote “The Tale of Nokdu” and “Love in the Moonlight,” joins him.
Ju Ji-hoon takes on the role of Seok Ji-won. Seok Ji-won is the senior director at Seokban Construction and the newly appointed chairman of Dokmok High School. He is a natural go-getter who excelled in both academics and sports since childhood.
Due to family circumstances, he left his hometown and school. Now, he returns triumphantly as the chairman of the foundation, where he meets his long-time rival Yoon Ji-won after 18 years.
Ju Ji-hoon has been recognized for his solid acting skills across various genres. After his role in “Princess Hours” (2006), he returns to romance, aiming to captivate hearts with his diverse charms.
Jung Yu-mi plays Seok Ji-won's rival, Yoon Ji-won. Yoon Ji-won is a physical education teacher at Dokmok High School's creative experience department. In her school days, she was nicknamed “Dokmok High School’s Mad Dog.”
She cannot stand injustice and feels compelled to correct wrongdoings. After experiencing life's challenges, her “mad dog” persona, which had been lying dormant, starts to resurface when she reunites with Seok Ji-won.
Jung Yu-mi has shown strengths in romance genres such as “I Need Romance” and “Discovery of Love.” She returns to dramas after a long time, planning to showcase fantastic chemistry with Ju Ji-hoon.
“Love on a Single Log Bridge” will air in the latter half of this year.
