The period just before turning 20 was expressed numerically. '19.99' signifies the youth standing at the boundary between their teenage years and twenties. It encapsulates their honest thoughts and concerns.
The keyword '20 years old' was compared to an unknown world. The story begins when a 'super laptop,' the only one of its kind in the world, is delivered to Unhark, who is actually 19 years old.
The 'super laptop' is a mysterious device that reveals all its secrets when the number on its screen reaches 20. As soon as the device is operated, a countdown to 20 begins.
Soon, a crisis is encountered. All 19-year-old friends flock to claim it. Unhark, along with the other members, runs away to protect the 'super laptop.'
This film increased immersion by setting Unhark as the main character of the 'super laptop.' The members expressed their complex emotions with expressions mixed with hope and fear.
The hip atmosphere caught attention. Retro props that evoke Y2K sentiments, screens in vintage colors, and beats that heighten emotions came together perfectly.
Meanwhile, BoyNextDoor will release '19.99' at 6 PM on the 9th of next month.
