The first original musical ice show in Korea, 'G-SHOW: THE LUNA', will sponsor the viewing of the performance.
'G-SHOW: THE LUNA', the first musical ice show in Korea, is gaining attention as a collaboration between a musical and an ice show. To mark the summer vacation, it will invite youth audiences for free.
Since its premiere in early 2022, it has consistently invited the youth who have had relatively fewer opportunities to enjoy cultural experiences. This time, in collaboration with the children's welfare foundation 'Green Umbrella', it will invite about 200 youths from child care facilities in Seoul.
A representative from the production company ARENA expressed, "In this particularly hot summer, we hope our musical can create cool and thrilling memories," and added, "We also wish to contribute, even a little, to the healthy growth of the youth in both body and mind."
'G-SHOW: THE LUNA' is set against a backdrop where spring and autumn have completely disappeared from the earth. The Tree of Life 'Normalis', which uniquely preserves the four seasons, is now in danger of vanishing. Gahram and Winter embark on an adventure with surrounding characters to protect it.
The work is enriched with 14 musical numbers of various genres. Unlike traditional ice shows, it increases immersion with stage sets, lighting, and visuals, aiming to leave a strong impression.
From single skating techniques such as jumps, Ina Bauers, spirals, spins, and step sequences to synchronized skating, ice dancing, and pair skating, it promises a dazzling performance.
'G-SHOW: THE LUNA' will be performed from the 12th to the 31st at the Jamsil Student Gymnasium in Seoul.
