tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Mom's Friend's Son' (written by Shin Ha-eun, directed by Yoo Je-won) released its group poster on the 7th, featuring Jung Hae-in, Jung So-min, Kim Ji-eun, and Yoon Ji-on.
The poster showcases the four youths of Hyeryeong-dong: neighborhood friends Choi Seung-hyo (Jung Hae-in), Bae Seok-ryu (Jung So-min), Jung Mo-eum (Kim Ji-eun), and Kang Dan-ho (Yoon Ji-on) walking side by side in a quiet alley.
The harmonious blend of the four friends with the cozy neighborhood creates a warm, sentimental atmosphere. The phrase "Our youth is in this neighborhood" encapsulates the essence of the show.
‘Mom’s Friend’s Son’ is a romance drama centered around a woman trying to reboot her flawed life and her mother's friend’s son, who is her living dark past.
Jung Hae-in takes on his first romantic comedy role as the perfect "mom's friend's son" Choi Seung-hyo, a promising young architect and CEO of an architecture firm.
Bae Seok-ryu's return introduces glitches into his previously peaceful life. Jung Hae-in commented, "Please focus on the genuine chemistry of same-age friends I will create with actress Jung So-min."
He added, "Actress Kim Ji-eun made it enjoyable and fun as she took good care of everyone," and "Actor Yoon Ji-on was always pleasant to meet, and I looked forward to the next scenes."
Jung So-min plays Bae Seok-ryu, who was thriving as a product manager at a global conglomerate before abruptly shutting down her life and returning home.
Jung So-min remarked, "Since we are all around the same age, we often gathered to discuss the project. This allowed us to comfortably exchange ideas and shoot the scenes smoothly," signaling perfect acting synergy.
Kim Ji-eun portrays Jung Mo-eum, an eccentric hero who believes she has a hero’s DNA flowing through her. As Choi Seung-hyo and Bae Seok-ryu's close friend, she adds vitality to the drama.
Kim Ji-eun shared, "They all took good care of me, so we quickly became close. It made it easy to portray the neighborhood friends' relationship and allowed us to share open and honest opinions on set."
Lastly, Yoon Ji-on takes on the role of Kang Dan-ho, a social affairs reporter with strong beliefs and a sense of responsibility. Moving next door to Jung Mo-eum leads to unexpected changes in his life.
He said, "The set was full of energy. Filming with the three actors was so engaging that I didn't feel tired," adding, "Each actor has a distinct personality, which created great acting synergy."
