Actors Hwang Jung-min and Jung Hae-in put their all into "Veteran 2."

Distributor CJ ENM released the first official stills of the movie "Veteran 2" (directed by Ryu Seung-wan) on the 6th. The stills hint at deeper action, tension, and storyline compared to its predecessor.

"Veteran 2" tells the story of seasoned detective Seo Do-cheol (played by Hwang Jung-min) and rookie detective Park Sun-woo (played by Jung Hae-in) from the Serious Crimes Unit as they pursue a serial killer.

This sequel comes nine years after the original. Hwang Jung-min reprises his role as Detective Seo Do-cheol, and appears in the stills struggling to catch a criminal in the pouring rain.

Jung Hae-in joins the cast as rookie detective Park Sun-woo. Although he looks tense, his passion and energy are evident as he throws himself into the investigation and chases down criminals.

A spokesperson remarked, "Look forward to the chemistry between seasoned detective Seo Do-cheol and rookie detective Park Sun-woo, as well as the thrilling action sequences in the rain."

Hwang Jung-min stated, "I wanted a sequel since we finished filming 'Veteran.' I hope the audience feels that Seo Do-cheol hasn't changed," adding, "I wanted to maintain the energy of the first film as much as possible."

Jung Hae-in added, "I hope the audience feels both fury and catharsis while watching the film. I believe it will be a movie that resonates with everyone."

"Veteran 2" has already been receiving love calls and accolades from the international film community even before its release. It has been officially invited to the Cannes Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival.

The movie is set to release next month on the 13th.
