'Arin of OH MY GIRL' has been confirmed to star in the new drama 'My Girlfriend is a Tough Guy'.

On the 5th, her agency WM Entertainment announced, "Arin will play the female lead, Kim Ji-eun, in the drama 'My Girlfriend is a Tough Guy'."

'My Girlfriend is a Tough Guy' is a romantic comedy. It's a story about a girl who suddenly turns into a handsome man overnight and a boyfriend who can't give up on his now-male girlfriend.

It is based on a popular Naver webtoon of the same name. Director Yoo Kwan-mo, known for 'Police University', 'Woman of 9.9 Billion', and 'Perfume', will be at the helm. The script will be written by rookie writer Lee Hae-na.

In the drama, Ji-eun experiences a heart-pounding romance when she meets Yoon-jae, a man who genuinely loves her. Then, due to her maternal family's hereditary traits, she suddenly transforms into a handsome man overnight.

Arin plans to express a wide range of emotions, from her naturally lovable demeanor to the sudden changes she experiences. Her chemistry with Yoon San-ha, who plays Yoon-jae, is also highly anticipated.

Arin shared her thoughts, saying, "I really wanted to try a rom-com this year, and I'm so grateful and honored to have encountered such a fun and lovely project."

She added, "I will work hard and enjoy filming to express Ji-eun's unique charm and good vibes. Please look forward to it."

Arin has established a successful career as an actress through the tvN drama 'Alchemy of Souls'. She continues to actively pursue her acting career with news of her appearances in the drama 'S Line' and the movie 'Mad Dance Office'.

Meanwhile, 'My Girlfriend is a Tough Guy' is set to begin filming in earnest in August.
