'Queen Woo' is a historical action drama. Queen Woo becomes the target of princes vying for the throne and five tribes seeking power following the sudden death of the king.
It portrays Queen Woo's struggle. She embarks on a mission to establish a new king within 24 hours. Jeon Jong-seo plays Woo-hee, who stands at the center of a tremendous power struggle.
The extremes of moods are conveyed. In the first poster, she wears a golden crown. Behind her looms the figure of the deceased king. More than sorrow for her lost husband, a sense of grim determination pervades.
The second poster is intense. Woo-hee dons armor and draws a bow. The phrase 'The king is dead; survive on your own' reveals Woo-hee's resolve and determination.
It hinted at a turbulent story. The unforeseen death of King Go Nam-mu (played by Ji Chang-wook), who once swept across battlefields, plunges the Goguryeo palace inside and out into chaos.
Woo-hee has no time to mourn the king's death as she must resolve her family's crisis. The factions attempting to dethrone her trigger even greater turmoil.
Woo-hee's strong action scenes are also a highlight. She is seen wielding a sword against her enemies. She directly confronts opposing forces with a sword in hand.
Additionally, characters like Goguryeo's Prime Minister Eul Paso (played by Kim Moo-yeol), Queen's maid Woo-soon (played by Jung Yoo-mi), third prince Go Bal-gi (played by Lee Soo-hyuk), and Mu-gol (played by Park Ji-hwan) appear, hinting at intertwining relationships.
'Queen Woo' is Tving's first historical drama series. Starring Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Moo-yeol, Jung Yoo-mi, Lee Soo-hyuk, Park Ji-hwan, and Ji Chang-wook, the first episode airs on the 29th of next month.
