According to a report released by the Gangwon Provincial Police Agency on the 28th, this incident occurred around 4:25 PM on the 8th of last month near Geunhwa-dong in Chuncheon and is recorded as a miraculous rescue made possible by timely circumstances and the cooperation of citizens.

At that time, police officers from the Western District Police Station, responding to a 112 emergency call, discovered a city bus that had suddenly stopped in front of their patrol car.

Inside the bus, a passenger was urgently knocking on the door, asking for help.

Realizing the urgency of the situation, the police officers boarded the bus to assess the situation and found an 80-year-old man unconscious on the floor.

The elderly man, who suffered from diabetes and cerebrovascular disease, had lost consciousness due to hypoglycemic shock.

In the emergency situation, one of the officers quickly asked the bus passengers if they had any sugar-rich items like candy, and a passenger immediately offered some candy.

The police gave the candy to the elderly man and provided first aid. The man was quickly transported to the emergency room by the paramedics who arrived on the scene, allowing him to receive appropriate treatment.
