Disney Plus's drama 'Hyeonhwak,' produced with a budget of 45 billion won, is embroiled in an illegal dumping controversy before its airing.

On the 28th, shocking photos and videos posted on social media the day before, the 27th, rapidly spread across various online communities.

The released photos showed paper cups, plastics, packaging boxes, and garden gloves carelessly discarded along a forest path in Jeju, with a大量 of garbage bags piled up. Even more concerning is that gas canisters, a flammable material, were left unattended.

Following the emerging controversy, the production company Showbox explained on the 28th, "The filming ended late and we could not clean up thoroughly in the dark," adding, "We immediately collected it and apologized to the relevant authorities."

However, observers have pointed out that the amount and types of waste captured in the photos exceed mere 'insufficient cleanup.'

Citizens who saw this remarked, "This is a problem that cannot be resolved with just an apology," criticizing the filming team's improper actions.

As the support holders made by fans were found alongside the pile of trash, and the actor's face became symbolic of the 'environmental pollution scene,' there has been an outpouring of anger within the fandom, stating, "Our dedication has been disrespected."
