"(Kim Seon-ho) Do the fans know? After shooting the drama, they left garbage in the forest…" (Netizen)
The Disney+ series 'Harmony' (written and directed by Han Jae-rim) is embroiled in controversy over illegal dumping of waste. It has been reported that the crew failed to clean up the filming site in Jeju Island.
Netizen A posted a short video on social media on the 27th. It showed a production team leaving a site in the forest of Jeju after having dumped garbage.
In the video released by him, empty water bottles, various plastics, and black bags were scattered about. There was also a cup holder with Kim Seon-ho's face on it.
A expressed his anger, asking, "(Do the fans of Kim Seon-ho) know this?" and stated, "After shooting the drama, they threw support coffee like this into the forest. I really have no words."
The problematic drama has been identified as 'Harmony.' It stars Kim Seon-ho and Suzy in leading roles, with filming ongoing in Jeju Island and other locations, aiming for a release next year.
The production company belatedly recognized the situation. Showbox stated on the 28th to ‘Dispatch,’ "The filming ended late and it got dark, so we couldn’t properly finish cleaning up the site."
After realizing the situation, they restored the dirty site to its original state. "We apologized and sought understanding from the filming location and relevant agencies. We cleaned up the trash immediately," they informed.
They apologized for causing public concern. A representative promised, "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We will be more mindful and diligent in our future filming."
Meanwhile, 'Harmony' is a period drama based on a webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of a poor painter who gets closer to the secrets of a mysterious woman.
