Gree (25, real name Kim Dong-hyun), son of TV personality Kim Gura and a rapper, fulfills his mandatory military service.
Gree enlisted in Pohang Training Center in Gyeongsangbuk-do at 2 p.m. on the 29th. After completing basic military training there, he is scheduled to begin his service in the Marine Corps.
The day before, he uploaded a web drama titled "Dad, Don't Cry!" related to his enlistment on his YouTube channel, appearing alongside his father Kim Gura.
The father and son performed a situational skit. In the video, they are seen getting a haircut together before Gree's enlistment. Gree humorously acted out suddenly bursting into tears, causing laughter.
Gree's buzz cut was also revealed. He then told Kim Gura, "Dad, I'm sorry. I'll do better after I return. Dad, don't cry. Make sure to answer calls from unknown numbers."
Their strong father-son bond was evident. After Gree left, Kim Gura jokingly remarked, "I can't seem to cry at all. It took much longer than I thought," eliciting more laughter.
Gree announced his voluntary enlistment in the Marine Corps last June. He stated, "I want to cultivate self-reliance and learn how to survive on my own in the military."
The father and son duo showcased their great chemistry on shows like "Star Golden Bell" and "Star Junior Show Bungeoppang." Gree debuted as a singer and rapper in 2016 with the release of "Nineteen."
