Yoon Do-young Scores First Goal in Netherlands League Debut After 3 Matches
Yoon Do-young (19), a South Korean striker for Excelsior Rotterdam in the Netherlands professional football league, has recorded his first goal after just three matches on the European stage.
On the 24th (local time), Yoon Do-young scored his precious first goal in an away match against FC Utrecht during the third round of the 2025-26 Dutch Eredivisie held at Stadion Galgenwaard in Utrecht, Netherlands.
In the match, Yoon Do-young replaced Sanchez Fernandes in the 76th minute after the team was trailing 0-4. Just seven minutes after stepping onto the field, Yoon Do-young experienced the joy of shaking the net.

Yoon Do-young quickly rushed in to push the ball into the goal with his left foot after a long-range shot by teammate Jack Booth was blocked by the opposing goalkeeper.
A New Challenge for Yoon Do-young from K League to Europe
Until March of this year, Yoon Do-young played for Daejeon Hana Citizen in the K League. He then seized a significant opportunity to transfer to Brighton & Hove Albion, a prestigious club in the English Premier League (EPL).
Brighton immediately loaned Yoon Do-young to Excelsior, a newly promoted team in the Netherlands' top division, and he began his full-fledged European football career last month.

Having been given the opportunity to come off the bench in three consecutive matches since the league's opening, Yoon Do-young finally proved his worth by scoring his first goal in this match.
Although the team lost 1-4, Yoon Do-young became the only scorer for his team, increasing the likelihood of gaining more playing time in the future.
Excelsior is currently at the bottom of the league with three consecutive losses since the start of the season. In contrast, Utrecht, the opponent of the day, has recorded 2 wins and 1 loss (6 points).
