
Lee Jae-sang, the CEO of HYBE, has become a new member of the Recording Academy in the United States.
HYBE announced on the 22nd, "CEO Lee Jae-sang has been listed as a member of the Recording Academy." He has been registered as a professional member, which includes professionals such as producers, journalists, music school professors, and high-ranking officials from music labels. His career and expertise in the music industry have been recognized. Starting in 2026, he will be eligible to participate in the voting for the Grammy Awards.
Lee has been a driving force behind the growth of K-pop in the global music market. He has served as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of HYBE and representative of HYBE America. He became the CEO of HYBE in September of last year and is leading the new growth strategy 'HYBE 2.0.' In May, he was also selected as one of the '2025 Billboard Global Power Players.'
The Recording Academy is a professional organization for music experts. Since its establishment in 1957, it has represented the voices of those in the music industry and has been overseeing the Grammy Awards, an art award ceremony, since 1959.
Last month, 16 HYBE musicians registered as new members. This includes producers, Zico, and members from Seventeen, Woozi and Vernon, Yeonjun from Tomorrow X Together, Jungwon from ENHYPEN, Heo Yunjin from LE SSERAFIM, and others such as Cat's Eye.
