tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Typhoon Company' (written by Jang Hyun, directed by Lee Na Jung) revealed the script reading scene on the 21st. Lee Junho, Kim Min Ha, Kim Min Seok, Kwon Han Sol, Lee Chang Hoon, and Kim Jae Hwa participated.
'Typhoon Company' is a human office drama. It tells the story of rookie salaryman Kang Tae Poong (played by Lee Junho) who struggles to revive a trading company that has no employees, money, or products to sell due to the IMF crisis.
The day’s atmosphere heightened expectations for the actors’ synergy. All the cast, regardless of their main or supporting roles, were fully immersed in their characters, transporting everyone back to the harsh year of 1997.
Lee Junho played Kang Tae Poong, a character who grows from an orange youth into a salaryman in the midst of the IMF crisis. His confident gaze and firm tone of dialogue left a deep impression.
Lee Junho elevated the immersion of the scene, expressing the changing emotions each time the situation in the drama shifted. He effortlessly transitioned between a spirited persona and a serious demeanor.
Kim Min Ha took on the role of Oh Mi Seon, a K-Jang daughter and employee at Typhoon Company. She is a character with dreams of becoming a salaryman, demonstrating strong acting skills by perfectly recreating the dialect from Seoul's past.
Kim Min Seok portrayed Wang Nam Mo, the best friend of Tae Poong, showcasing his charmingly cheeky appeal. He is responsible for delivering the humor and excitement of the drama, enriching the youthful narrative.
Additionally, Lee Chang Hoon plays the head of the sales department, Go Ma Jin; Kim Jae Hwa as the deputy manager of the general affairs department, Cha Seon Taek; Kim Song Il as the director of the management department, Koo Myeong Gwan; and Lee Sang Jin as the logistics department's deputy, Bae Song Jung, harmonizing their performances.
Lee Junho expressed anticipation for the teamwork, stating, "The day I get to shoot with the seniors of Typhoon Company is what I look forward to the most," and added, "I believe our humorous moments will bring great joy to the viewers."
Sung Dong Il and Kim Ji Young appear as Tae Poong's family, playing the roles of Kang Jin Young (father) and Jeong Jeong Mi (mother), resurrecting the joys and sorrows of a parent generation that bore the glory and collapse of an era.
The production team predicted, "'Typhoon Company' will capture the heartfelt survival stories of ordinary people who endured the IMF crisis," and added, "It will offer memories of survival or provide empathy and comfort."
They continued, "We hope the 'Typhoon Spirit' from that time, which overcame crises, will bring hope and courage to viewers living in today's world. We ask for your significant expectations and attention."
Meanwhile, 'Typhoon Company' is set to premiere in October.
