Conflicting Claims between the Special Prosecutor and Former President Yoon's Side

This statement comes amid differing claims from the special prosecutor and former President Yoon's side regarding the execution process of the arrest warrant.

The special prosecutor attempted the first execution of the arrest warrant on the 1st, but explained that "former President Yoon resisted by lying on the floor in his underwear, leading to failure" during the second attempt on the 7th, stating that he "resisted too stubbornly."

In contrast, attorney Kim Gye-ri, representing former President Yoon, claimed that "during the attempt to drag the chair that the president was sitting in to the vehicle, he accidentally hit his back on the chair leg and fell." He stated that they would hold the special prosecutor accountable. However, according to Lawmaker Jang's statement, the guards testified that Kim's claims were contrary to the facts.

Decision to Submit CCTV Footage Expected

Additionally, Lawmaker Jang announced, "The Legislative Judiciary Committee is expected to decide to submit CCTV footage from the Seoul Detention Center."

He stated, "I think there will be elements regarding mobile phones and external food being brought in on the CCTV," and mentioned, "If so, this would lead to legal repercussions for the detention center chief and the correctional officers for violation of the execution law."

This controversy underscores the need for clarifying the truth about what actually happened during the execution of former President Yoon's arrest warrant.
