Yoon Suk-yeol's side files a complaint against the special investigation team… "The execution of the arrest warrant was illegal."

Former President Yoon Suk-yeol, who suffered a setback due to the request and execution of the arrest warrant by the Kim Gun-hee special investigation team (Special Investigator Min Jung-ki), has launched legal action. He is raising issues regarding what transpired during the legitimate execution of the arrest warrant issued by the court.

Yoon's team claims that the actions of the special investigation team have legal problems.

On the 20th, Yoon's legal team submitted a complaint to the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office against Special Investigator Min Jung-ki and Deputy Special Investigator Moon Hong-joo, alleging abuse of power and obstruction of justice. The complaint was reportedly directly filed by attorney Bae Bo-yoon.

Two attempts to execute the arrest warrant… Yoon strongly resisted.

The Kim Gun-hee special investigation team attempted to execute the arrest warrant on two occasions after Yoon refused to comply with two requests to appear, executing the warrants on the 1st and 7th of this month at the Seoul Detention Center.

According to the special investigation team, during the first execution attempt, Yoon refused arrest by lying on the floor in his underwear, and during the second attempt, he strongly resisted despite the use of physical force. Both attempts ultimately failed.

Yoon's legal team warned in a statement on the 7th, "The arrest attempts are a public humiliation," and announced a tough response, saying, "We will hold them criminally accountable to the end."

Claims of health deterioration met with the Ministry of Justice's statement: "No issues with treatment."

Following the attempts at arrest, it has been reported that former President Yoon claimed his health has deteriorated, including suffering from a risk of blindness. However, the Ministry of Justice denied these claims.

On the 16th, the Ministry of Justice issued an official statement saying, "Contrary to some claims, it is difficult to consider his health condition very poor, including his eye illness," and added, "We provide all necessary medical treatment within the scope allowed for inmates."

If Yoon's complaint leads to an official investigation, the legal battle with the Kim Gun-hee special investigation team is expected to intensify.
