Actor Kim Yun-seok returns to a series after 17 years. Yoon Kye-sang, Ko Min-si, and Lee Jung-eun complete the suspense thriller.

Netflix announced on the 26th, "The release date for the new series 'In the Woods Where No One Exists' is confirmed for August 23." The teaser trailer was also revealed, hinting at a fresh and intense story.

'In the Woods Where No One Exists' is a suspense thriller. It tells the story of people whose peaceful daily lives are shattered and are caught up in uncontrollable events due to a suspicious guest arriving in midsummer.

The trailer started peculiarly. One day, a mysterious woman, Seong-a (played by Ko Min-si), visits Yeongha's (played by Kim Yun-seok) pension in the forest. The tagline, “An uninvited guest has arrived,” hinted at a story of cracks and disturbances.

The mysterious atmosphere continued. Yeongha finds it strange that the spot left by the guest who visited the pension is unusually clean. At that moment, he discovers bloodstains in the bathroom and is consumed with fear.

The tension was maximized. Seong-a wielded a weapon with a crazy look in her eyes and actions. Then Sang-jun (played by Yoon Kye-sang) and Bo-min (played by Lee Jung-eun) appeared, looking shocked at something they saw.

Yeongha's narration decorated the ending. With a trembling voice, he said, "In the woods where no one exists, a big tree fell. Could there have been a thud, or could there not have been?"

Kim Yun-seok returns to a series with this work after 17 years. Ko Min-si takes on a transformative acting role. Yoon Kye-sang’s passionate performance and Lee Jung-eun's character portrayal also explode with synergy.

Director Mo Wan-il conveyed, "While working on 'The World of the Married' and 'In the Woods Where No One Exists', I felt similar emotions. It felt like an incredible roller coaster with suffocating conflicts and surging emotions."

He continued, "With each scene completed, I watched with tension, focusing on how the story would unfold next. That's how this suspense thriller work was completed," he explained the directing process.
