Shin Lawyer: "Mrs. Kim looks emaciated, with only a bony frame left"
It has been reported that Kim Gun-hee, the spouse of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, mentioned a willingness to 'risk her life' in an effort to save her husband while in prison.
In particular, it is known that Kim has cited the 'betrayal' of former Representative Han Dong-hoon of the People Power Party as one of the responsibilities in this situation.
On the 20th, lawyer Shin, who is known as a mentor to former President Yoon, revealed on his social media that he recently visited Kim at the Seoul Southern Detention Center. He reported that Kim's health condition is such that she has lost so much weight due to depression and can barely eat, leaving her looking emaciated with only a bony frame remaining.
According to Shin, as soon as Kim sat down in the meeting room, she said, "Sir, shouldn’t I just die so that my husband can have a way out?" Shin strongly urged her not to think that way, but he noted that Kim seemed to be preoccupied with such thoughts recently.
Kim: "If Han Dong-hoon hadn't betrayed me…"
It is also reported that during the conversation, Kim expressed deep resentment toward former Representative Han Dong-hoon.
Shin shared that Kim lamented, "How could Han Dong-hoon do this? If he hadn't betrayed me, wouldn’t endless glory have awaited us?"
He explained that he could sense Kim's significant feelings of betrayal toward Han, as she attributes much of the responsibility for this situation to him.
"If you can't forgive, think of his pathetic future"
Shin advised Kim that "Han Dong-hoon is a pitiful person," suggesting that he would live his life in the shadows of being a 'political wanderer' and is merely a waste of life. He encouraged Kim to try to forgive him, even though it may be difficult.
He went on to say, "If forgiving is hard, forget him while envisioning his pathetic future. That is the true way to overcome him and to erase the burdens of karma," and he urged Kim to completely eliminate the name 'Han Dong-hoon' from her mind.
