'Eyelet' has added another achievement in Japan with their debut album. According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan, Eyelet's mini 1st album title track "Magnetic" has received "Platinum" certification in the streaming category. As of last month, it has surpassed 100 million cumulative streams.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan grants certifications based on the cumulative number of streams of a song each month. The categories include Gold (50 million or more), Platinum (100 million or more), and Diamond (500 million or more).
This record was achieved approximately three months after the song's release. It is a record for the shortest period among all female group songs in history, including local artists. Eyelet has captivated Japanese fans completely.
The enthusiasm for "Magnetic" was also evident on Japanese music charts. They ranked first in the "Rookie Artist Section" of the "Tower Records Music 2024 First Half Streaming Ranking."
In the "Line Music 2024 First Half Rankings," they were in the top 10 for both the "Teen Trend Rankings" and "BGM Rankings." They continue to maintain high positions on major local music charts such as Spotify Japan.
The fashion industry is also paying attention to Eyelet. They recently did a photoshoot for the September issue of "Vogue Japan," showcasing their more mature visuals and capturing attention.
Meanwhile, "Magnetic" is a song that likens being drawn to someone you like to a magnet. It combines an addictive melody with Eyelet's lively vocals.
