Actor Lee Jung-eun will make a special appearance in JTBC's new weekend drama 'A Hundred Memories', where she will act alongside Kim Da-mi as a mother-daughter duo.

On the 18th, the production team revealed still cuts featuring Lee Jung-eun transformed into the role of the mother of her daughter Young-rye (played by Kim Da-mi). In the images, Lee Jung-eun pulls a cart with a weary expression on her face.

In the drama, Lee Jung-eun portrays the life of a resilient provider during the difficult times of the 1980s. After the birth of her youngest daughter, she loses her husband and has been raising her four children alone.

She believes that her eldest son’s success will lift the family's fortunes, similar to many mothers of that era. However, she is actually dependent on her eldest daughter, Young-rye.

Young-rye works in a uniform instead of a school uniform. Though Lee Jung-eun carries feelings of guilt and affection for her daughter, she struggles to express those emotions due to her sense of shame.

The production team commented, "Lee Jung-eun is not merely making a special appearance. She bears the crucial emotional lines of the drama and adds depth to it. The mother-daughter chemistry with Kim Da-mi is expected to resonate strongly."

They added, "With delicate yet powerful acting, she will vividly portray the life of a mother in the 1980s. We ask for high expectations for her profound performance."

'A Hundred Memories' is a newtro youth melodrama that depicts the friendship between bus guide Young-rye and Jong-hee (played by Shin Ye-eun), as well as their first love surrounding the fateful man Jae-pil (played by Heo Nam-jun).

The script is written by writer Yang Hee-seung, known for works like 'Crash Course in Romance', 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo', and 'Oh My Ghost'. Director Kim Sang-ho, who worked on 'Thirty, Nine', is in charge of production.

Meanwhile, 'A Hundred Memories' will premiere on the 13th of next month at 10:40 PM.
