
Actor Kim Nam-gil and Chun Woo-hee will lead the 34th Buil Film Awards this year as co-hosts.
The Buil Film Awards organizers announced on the 18th that "the two have been appointed as hosts for the awards ceremony on November 18 at the Signiel Busan Grand Ballroom."
Kim Nam-gil and Chun Woo-hee are representative figures of Korean cinema. They first collaborated in the film "One Day" (2017) and will reunite as award ceremony emcees after about eight years.
They have shown their versatility across both the big screen and television. Kim Nam-gil has appeared in the drama "Queen Seondeok," the "Vigilante Priest" series, and films such as "The Fatal Encounter" and "Emergency Declaration." Recently, he gained global attention for his role as Officer Lee Do in the Netflix series "Trigger," and he is also actively involved in social contribution activities as a representative of an NGO.
Chun Woo-hee has also proven her ability to portray a wide range of characters through dramas like "Melo is My Nature" and films such as "Han Gong-ju," "Sunny," and "I Only Dropped My Smartphone." Last year, she achieved commercial success with the Netflix series "The Eight Show" and JTBC's "I'm Not a Hero," and she will introduce her new drama "My Youth" this year.
Meanwhile, the Buil Film Awards is the oldest film award ceremony in the country, with 16 categories set to be awarded this year, including Best Picture and Best Director.
