Delivery driver's attempt to access the door lock password leads to customer reporting
A delivery driver attempted to enter the door lock password of a customer’s officetel, prompting a police response.
On the 17th, Channel A reported that a delivery driver was seen inputting the customer’s door lock password on CCTV at an officetel in Seoul, leading to police involvement.
According to the report, the incident was fully recorded on closed-circuit (CC) TV footage installed in the officetel corridor.
In the video, the delivery driver is seen holding a bag of food, checking a mobile phone, and entering the door lock password. When the door did not open, the driver checked the phone again and pressed the keypad.
After trying the password three or four more times but failing to open the door, the delivery driver left the food at the doorstep and departed.

Clarification and follow-up actions by the delivery driver
The homeowner who ordered the food explained the situation to Channel A, stating, “I had just come out of the shower and saw the delivery driver lingering, pressing the door lock. I was so surprised that I froze.”
Following this, the homeowner reportedly reported the delivery driver to the police. According to the police investigation, the delivery driver stated, “I apologize to the customer,” and clarified, “It was my first day of delivery, and I misunderstood it as a request to deliver inside the house because I received the password multiple times.”
Following this incident, the delivery company apologized for the inconvenience caused to the customer and took measures to ensure that the driver and customer would not be reconnected.
The police, who received the report, stated they will further investigate the situation.
