A shocking incident has emerged involving a male Taekwondo athlete in his 30s, who inflicted serious violence on his girlfriend, a woman in her 20s, by kicking her.

The victim, referred to as A, was unexpectedly exposed to violence on the night of the 2nd while attending a gathering with her boyfriend, B, and mutual friends.

During the gathering, as B raised his voice, A turned her back in an attempt to avoid the situation. In that moment, B forcibly grabbed A by the back of her neck, resulting in her T-shirt being torn.

What’s more serious is that when A attempted to report the incident by taking out her mobile phone, B snatched it away and threw it. The violence did not stop there; B committed extreme violence by kicking A in the face. Afterward, B left the scene, and A, who sustained serious injuries, was transported to a hospital by nearby citizens after shouting, "Help me!"

The violence continued as B resorted to extreme abuse by kicking A in the face.

Dangerous Relationship Marked by Obsession and Surveillance

According to A's testimony, B has always exhibited possessive behavior.

B reportedly installed a location tracking application to monitor A's every move.

On the day of the assault, B also intruded into A’s home without permission, taking pictures inside and demanding she return.

He even sent a text message stating, "I will kneel and beg. I’ll apologize and leave, so come quickly."

In an interview, A expressed her fear, stating, "If I had gone back to my apartment, I think I would have been hit even more." Particularly shocking was her revelation that "three passwords are required to enter my house, and I have never disclosed the passwords to my boyfriend."

A speculated, “It seems he remembered what he secretly watched and used that to get in.”

As a result of the assault, A has been diagnosed with an orbital fracture and required surgery.

Currently, A is experiencing not only physical injuries but also significant disruptions to her daily life due to fear of B’s retaliation.

The police are taking protective measures for A’s safety by strengthening nearby monitoring and providing her with a smartwatch.

Dating violence is not merely a personal issue but a serious criminal act that can have long-term impacts on the physical and mental health of victims. This incident once again highlights the severity of dating violence and the importance of protecting victims.
