2023 'Cheonan Group Assault' Perpetrators Reoffend After 2 Years

It has been revealed that the perpetrators of the shocking group assault incident involving middle school students in Cheonan in 2023 have committed offenses again after two years, causing further outrage.

Citizens are responding by insisting that 'increased penalties' should be imposed since they have committed the offense again.

On the 14th, it was confirmed that A (pseudonym), a first-year middle school student in Cheonan, was assaulted once more by the same perpetrators involved in the 2023 incident.

Planned Attack Targeting CCTV Blind Spots

A was lured to a secluded area near the terminal after arguing with friends at a karaoke near the Shinsegae Department Store in Cheonan the previous evening.

At the scene, about 20 youths were gathered, reportedly using blind spots in the CCTV footage and obstructing vehicle black boxes to meticulously prepare for the assault.

The perpetrators reportedly laid A on the ground and slapped her hundreds of times, punched her, choked her, and forced her to strip while filming the incident. They later threatened her that they would distribute the video, saying, "We'll follow you until you die."

Victim Student Hospitalized… Police Investigation Underway

A is currently hospitalized with bruises all over her body, expressing her thoughts at the time by saying, "I thought this is how I would die."

A significant number of the perpetrators in this incident have been identified as the same individuals responsible for the group assault case at a middle school in Cheonan in October 2023, adding to the shock.

The police have launched an investigation into the charges of assault, threats, and filming and distributing the incident, while emergency protective measures have been implemented for the victim student.
